What Did You Expect?

Published in Blog on December 08, 2021 by Jodean Bown

I’ve been silent for awhile.

Okay, okay, I’ve been silent for over a year.

The 2020 election was hard to take. Even harder to believe a record 81 million voted for the Basement Dweller of Delaware (and all those votes that suddenly appeared after 1am on November 4). It was a Democrat miracle.

Now, we have lived through the first year of the Biden Administration and it’s been pretty painful. Americans now are facing escalating costs in gas, heating, food and housing. We are seeing shortages in our grocery stores. Christmas will be a little leaner this year. We witness the invasion of our borders where illegals are not being tested for COVID and yet the citizens of this country are expected to now vaccinate their 5 year olds. Criminals are organizing and robbing high end stores. Thugs are assaulting (sometimes killing) people on the street, incentivized by local DA’s prosecuting little to no one with low to no bails when caught.

Yup, it can be pretty damn depressing.

What I find even more incredulous are those who voted for Biden saying, “But I didn’t vote for this!”

My answer is, “What did you expect?”

The far left knew they would have a man on the brink of dementia who would be easily controlled to issue those mandates they wanted, to lecture the People on what we now need to accept as the “new normal," to persecute you if you dared to question and march for your freedom to speak out for your beliefs as shown in those suffering in prisons who participated January 6th in Washington DC.

We are being silenced because of the power this federal government has given themselves through the years. We are being crushed with high taxes they have designated as “fair” and they still want more. They are throwing money into our economy that even the less astute know will only result in inflation. And yet, they do not care. It’s all about the power.

We the People have a solution. It’s right there in Article V of the Constitution. By calling for a Convention of States, we can limit the power of the so-called representatives of Congress in Washington and bring it back to the States and to the people.

We Americans would benefit from having easier access to state government officials as opposed to the behemoth that is our federal government. We could then dictate to them how much they can spend, how much influence and power they have in our lives and impose term limits on these career politicians who mysteriously become extremely wealthy the longer they hold office.

We the People would have that power if this is passed. So I urge all, especially those here in Iowa, to contact your local representatives and tell them they need to vote YES and join other states who have have passed this resolution to call for a Convention of States. In doing so, we wouldn’t feel helpless in pushing back on a federal government who is becoming more authoritarian with every passing day.
