The support for Convention of States exploded last year in the state of South Dakota.
This trend continued into the beginning of 2021, as a series of town hall meetings inform citizens about using Article V of the U.S. Constitution to call for a Convention of States to help save our country.
With record high petitions gathered in 2020, the COS grassroots army continues to march on to educate and share the power our states have with more and more South Dakotans.
"We had a tremendous turnout for our first 2021 Convention of States town hall meeting last night in Rapid," said Harvey Fitzgerald, District Captain for district 30.
"It is great to see real patriots asking questions, considering the information, and joining the movement."
The first of four meetings throughout the Black Hills area had over 30 attendees with several people signing petitions.
When people learn about the foundations of an Article V convention and hear the three pillars of COS (term limits on federal officials, federal fiscal restraints, and controlled federal government overreach), they are ready to support the movement.
"I am especially gratified by the open-minded conservatives, who had (heard) misinformation from an opposing view... (They) decided to join COS after considering all points," added Fitzgerald.
There will be three more town hall meetings in the coming days. Please join us in your nearest community or you can become a COS volunteer today.
