As Convention of States President Mark Meckler pointed out on Sunday’s “The BattleCry,” we often learn about breaking stories in American politics through second-hand sources in the media. It’s much rarer to hear directly from the people who were present for those events. But in Convention of States, with millions of activists across the country, we are often blessed with the opportunity to speak to those individuals.
Convention of States District Captain Patrick Klodt is one such spectator—an eyewitness to the assassination attempt against former President Donald Trump. Klodt, who first shared details about his experience in a blog for Convention of States last week, joined Mark on his Sunday night show to discuss the disturbing event.
“My wife says, ‘Boy, we gotta go over there [to the Trump rally] because this will be historic.’” he recounted. “Literally, I had no idea it was going to be this historic.”
