We can no longer sit back and expect things to change in Washington, DC.
The framers gave us the convention option because they knew there would be a time when Congress would no longer listen to the people and would refuse to restrain its own power, explained Maine Rep. Joseph Underwood during a committee hearing.
The solutions to all our problems will never come from Congress, because Congress is the problem.
"I do not fear this process because the convention has no power to change the constitution. All it can do is offer recommendations in the form of amendments," said Underwood.
It is time for the states to unite and use the authority we were given under Article V.
