NO fiscal restraints on the federal budget means higher mandated property taxes to all of us.
We all received the note in our property tax bill this year. Did you read it? Of the $150 million for the Warren county budget, almost $32 million is for nine of the most expensive, mandated programs.
That one-page flyer is shocking, and I doubt any newspaper would re-print it. 
If Congress won't handle their responsibilities willingly, the American people will force their hand. We have almost 500 petition signers in our NY assembly district 114.
Millions have joined the nationwide movement to call an Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States has the constitutional authority to propose amendments that would force Congress to use fiscal restraint and cut spending.
Congress will never make the tough financial decisions as long as they're looking forward to the next election. They need constitutional mandates to save our children and grandchildren from financial collapse, and We the People can impose those mandates via Article V.
