Walls for the Middle East, not the U.S.

Published in Blog on September 18, 2023 by Robert Bonhag

We have a double standard on border walls. The feds do not want to construct a border wall on the US-Mexico border. Yet, we are paying to build walls in the Middle East and Africa.

Yes, you read it right.

Congress spent $250 million of our taxpayer dollars to fix border walls in the Middle East and Africa. The Federal government is spending our money to build border walls in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman.

Our tax dollars were spent on integrated border security surveillance, detection, and interdiction systems in foreign countries.

At the same time, Washington has severely failed to beef up the same at our borders. Human and drug trafficking along our southern borders have affected every aspect of life in our country but somehow what is good for the Middle Eastern and African countries is not good for us.

Seems like we should fund what works.

Stay tuned to our Blogs to know more about how your government is frittering away your money.
