Volunteers needed for COS Virginia booth at Richmond Gun Show

Published in Blog on August 21, 2018 by Laurie Wheeler

The following is from Regional Captain Russ Beyer.

Every time the Supreme Court meets, they modify our Constitution.  The one they follow is now nearly 3,000 pages.

We are just one Supreme Court decision from losing our Second Amendment rights. Are you going to just watch it happen, or work to prevent it?

Article V of the Constitution can help defend all of our rights from those eager to use every atrocity to justify eliminating them.

For that reason, Convention of States Virginia will sponsor an information booth at the upcoming gun show in Richmond.

We will distribute information, answer questions, and collect petitions to convene a Convention of States for the purposes of proposing amendments concerning three areas:

  • Imposing term limits. Not just for Congress. Why not Supreme Court Justices and federal judges, too?
  • Ending federal overreach, including job-crushing regulations and meddling by unaccountable bureaucrats.
  • Imposing fiscal restraints to control runaway spending and debt.

Many hands make light work. Please donate a few hours of your time by joining us August 25–26 at Richmond Raceway Complex (Richmond, VA).

Please contact Matt Weeks (matthew.weeks@cosaction.com) to volunteer.
