Wolves in Fear of the Truth

Published in Blog on July 14, 2021 by Elizabeth Lanning

Today, two private jets were chartered at the cost of $100,000 to carry the traitors of the Texas Legislature to their protectors in Washington, D.C. They are fully aware they will likely be arrested for such a breach of truth to their constituents, but they seem to labor under the delusion that by becoming martyrs to the cause of Democracy, they will win for losing.

“We are now taking a flight to our nation’s Capitol. We are living on borrowed time in Texas. We need Congress now to pass the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Act to protect Texans and all Americans from the Trump Republicans’ nationwide war on democracy,” the House Democratic Caucus said.

"When it comes to protecting our right to vote, all cards are on the table. We broke quorum again today because the Gov & #txlege Repubs chose to bully Texans out of our constitutional rights instead of finding solutions to problems that really exist," Julie Johnson, Democratic Texas State Representative tweeted.

"Problems that really exist"! Is Traitor Johnson not aware of the fact that 510 injunctions are pending concerning voter fraud in the state of Texas? Or that thousands of dollars were used in Dallas alone to buy the vote? Or that the Trump administration won heavily during the 2020 presidential election in urban and suburban areas throughout the state, flipping them from blue to red? Or that the assumed percentages of winning votes for the current administration don’t match the realistic trends and voting history of these districts, sparking questions concerning the integrity of the voting machines being used? See: Texas Elections Were Stolen

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said the new voting laws are “the worst challenge to our democracy since the Civil War.” Apparently, Ms. Jen Psaki loves wolves. Benjamin Franklin once said “Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what’s for supper.” If this is her idea of peace and prosperity, I’m assuming she has no intention of being the lamb.

But why run if Texas Dems tout this initiative to be so vital? If there was no fraud as they claim, of what are they afraid? Perhaps they are afraid of losing to the truth; perhaps they aren’t afraid enough.

They cower from facing reality, flaunt their self-righteousness in the faces of their constituents, then run like a pack of wolves who have heard the shot of the farmer’s scattergun. They prefer to operate under cover of darkness where their loathsome feasting cannot be seen until they have finished and escaped from the scene of the crime. If this is the best they can do, their constituents are in trouble.

It doesn’t take very many farmers or shotguns to scatter the pack. You don’t even have to aim well. You simply need the will to hold wolves accountable.

I sure am glad Fort McHenry was not held by such traitors as the ones who fled to Washington DC today, because if it had been, Francis Scott Key would never have written the Star-Spangled Banner and there would be no land of the free and home of the brave.

On a brighter note, Convention of States has had multiple people on the ground in the recent testimony opportunities in Houston. COS supports individual liberty and responsibility and has worked tirelessly to expose the wolves in legislature for what they are. COS is comprised of the farmers with the shotguns of truth and courage.
