Here's how Montana can help end federal overreach

Published in Blog on June 26, 2018 by Tracy Schuster

The following was written by Terry Kramer of Clancy, Montana.

The recent story about the battle between a Helena Valley hemp farmer and the federal government, over water access, is just another in an endless procession of federal overreach.

Is this not water from Montana? Shouldn't this be Montana’s decision?

The federal government has overreached its constitutionally-established boundaries and has its tentacles in almost every aspect of our lives.

Does anyone believe that Washington will fix the problem?

This is not a partisan issue. The federal government is spending this country into the ground, seizing power from the states, and taking liberty from the people.

The Founders believed that the structures of a limited government would provide the greatest protection of liberty. Not only were there to be checks and balances between the branches of the federal government, but power was to be shared between the states and federal government, with the latter only exercising those powers specifically granted in the in the Constitution.
