The State Department made a SHOCKING admission, deleted the video, and is trying to cover it up

In December of 2013, then-State Department Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked by Fox News reporter James Rosen at a press conference whether it was OK to lie to keep secret negotiations with Iran.

"I think there are times when diplomacy needs privacy in order to progress," she responded.

You probably haven’t heard about it because that portion of the conference video was deleted. Now, after the deleted portion of the video has been found, the State Department is saying they don’t know who gave the order to remove it.

“We sort of know, obviously, who made that request, but that that was passing on a request from somewhere else within the Public Affairs Bureau," said State Department spokesman Mark Toner. "The individual in question here does not remember who told him or her to carry out this order.”

Right. That explanation would be easier to swallow if the federal government hadn’t lied to the American people so many times in the past. But they have, and, unfortunately, there isn’t a way to force our federal officials to tell the truth.

There is, however, a way to dramatically change the attitude of our federal officials towards the people they purport to serve. An Article V Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that restore a true balance of power between the people and the federal government. These amendments can give the people and the states a recourse when federal officials fail to uphold the Constitution or betray the trust of American citizens.
