2 Chronicles 28:19 – For the Lord had brought Judah low, because of Ahaz king of Israel, for he had encouraged moral decline, and had been continually unfaithful to the Lord.
“Righteousness exalts, a nation, but sin condemns any people.” Proverbs 14:34. The history of Israel in the books of Kings and Chronicles in the Bible proves this. The blessing of God was upon the nation when its leaders and the people followed after Him and walked in His ways. But when the leaders and the people turned their backs on God, disobeyed his commandments, and sought other things rather than God, then the nation was “brought low.”
James Madison, one of the framers of the US Constitution, wrote, “This form of government will only work for a moral people, and it’s wholly inadequate for any other.” George Washington added, “It is impossible to separate morality and religion.” So we see why those on the left in the leadership of our country today want to remove Christianity and the Judeo-Christian principles this nation was founded on: they want to remove this form of government and replace it with another-godless Marxism!
With this in mind, the only way to save this nation is with a second Chronicles 7:14 revival: “If my people who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and heal their land.”
“We the People” need to put a stop to the moral decline, and it must begin in our own homes. Then we need to take it to the streets, to the marketplace, to our local, state, and federal government. Before America can be made great again she must become righteous again: “Seeking God‘s kingdom, and his righteousness,” Matthew 6:33 needs to become a priority again. Let us strive to make this a reality in the land that we love!
Prayer - Heavenly Father, please forgive us for not seeking first your kingdom and your righteousness, trusting that you would take care of everything else we needed. Please turn our hearts back to you and help us to live “self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in this present age.” Titus 2:12. Please come and heal our land.
