The Federal Government's Role is to Protect, Not Provide

Published in Blog on November 18, 2020 by Grant Williams

Regardless of political stances, politicians obviously spend more time watching political dramas than actually reading the Constitution they swore to uphold. And it shows.

The powers that be keep weaseling their way into media outlets so that they can manipulate the masses with fear-mongering subtleties like
"vote as if your life depends on it" and "your freedom is on the line."

Quite frankly, it's getting really old for a lot of people.

Are our lives really all that dependent on these hyper-celebratory elitists and bureaucrats thousands of miles away?

The short answer is: no. The federal government doesn't even know we exist unless it's the middle of an election cycle or we owe them money. Even in those brief moments where they pull themselves away from staring at their own reflection in the mirror, how can we possibly deny that our lives are ultimately up to us?

Why are we giving them so much power and influence into our lives? Why do we place offices like the presidency on such high, messianic pedestals? How come they're trying to control us through fear?

What They Don't Want You to Know

The federal government's job is to protect our rights. Not provide them.
Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are, indeed, inalienable, given to us by God, and prescribed by nature.

This is the very heart of why our Framers included Article V in the United States Constitution. They were absolutely sure this day would come when the federal government's overreach overcame the will of the people.

Article V does not call for a constitutional convention, but rather a "convention of states" with the purpose of proposing amendments. This convention is not designed to reset the Constitution or do away with it, but to reinforce it.

The Framers were much too brilliant to allow the Constitution to cannibalize itself. Instead, they designed it so the states can put the federal government back into their lane through the means of addressing fiscal abuse, jurisdictional overreach, and enforcing term limits on federal officials.

It's time to step up.

We're now calling upon all Americans throughout North Carolina to volunteer for the largest grassroots movement in the history of our nation.

This is not a red issue or a blue issue. This is a red, white, and blue issue. It's up to us to bring this nation back together, not the federal government.
