On July 4th, the Kailua Chamber of Commerce held their 75th Independence Day parade and Convention of States Hawaii entered one the best floats of the event! Fourteen COS team members participated in the busiest and largest parade in recent memory.
Thanks to volunteer activist Chanara Richmond, this year’s vehicle, provided by the Penhall Concrete Coring Company of Honolulu, was one of the liveliest active floats and proved a real attention-grabber in the procession!
To liven up the crowd, team members passed out newly printed red, white, and blue wristbands complete with our COS website and a QR Code for quick access to a Hawaii-specific landing page, written just for this year’s celebration. These fun items were so popular that in spite of doubling the number handed out last year, the team ran out long before the parade ended.
This parade was only the third Independence Day event COS Hawaii has participated in but it was a big improvement over others. To get a better sense of the teamwork and the fun had by all, please watch this video:
