Volunteers willing to stand together for one day in January will go to the State Capitol in Denver on January 10th. It's the starting point of our 2024 mission. It is the mission that Convention of States has all over the nation: "to build the largest, most engaged, most activated group of self-governing citizen activists this nation has ever seen".

We need to gather again. I went to the Capitol five times in the last twelve months. I remember last year's outreach for Surge Day and getting responses from people, understandably, that they were concerned about going to Denver. On April 20th, we had our rally and again I got a few responses from people who were concerned to go because that is the same day some people celebrate getting stoned on weed. We were resolute to attend our COS Rally and it was a peaceful, effective and sober event.
The whole point of volunteering for Convention of States is to be effective. Surge Day starts the new year with as many volunteers brave enough and able enough to venture downtown Denver, find a parking (SpotHero), go through security and meet new people who are as concerned for America as you are...all for a few hours. It is a great way to launch the new year witnessing that the political issues you're concerned about are shared by others all over the state. You can put a face to patriotism, and in this case, faces. We need a large gathering of American Patriots to represent Convention of States Colorado in the minds of State Legislators.
Our COS Veterans Coalition, led by VC Director Art Sickler, has created a letter writing campaign. COS Vets and state volunteers are writing letters to select State Senators and Representatives (decided by our Legislative Liaison, John Graboski and his team) and sending them to a PO Box managed by the Vets. We will be hand-delivering these letters to the State Legislators they're addressed to on January 10th. The campaign links are provided on the page you receive after the survey and you can participate in the letter writing campaigns if you're willing. It's a very effective effort to write to your state Reps and all Representatives who need to be made aware of Article V and Convention of States.
