Suppression: When the Lie Loses its Power

Published in Blog on October 25, 2021 by Will T. Zwart

This is Attorney General Merrick Garland. He is 69 years old and was previously a federal judge appointed by President Bill Clinton before retiring to accept his current position in March, 2021. He lives in Bethesda, Maryland with his wife and two daughters. Merrick Garland and his entire family have been educated at high-level universities, and Merrick himself has had a successful career in politics.

Oh, and one other thing. Merrick Garland thinks parents who want to decide what their children are taught in schools are domestic terrorists and is currently weaponizing the DOJ and FBI against them.

All across the country, children are being taught Critical Race Theory, a course of study that claims America was founded on racism and intolerance. CRT claims that people's identities in society are based on their skin color, not their actions.

Many parents are naturally incensed by such ideologies and are voicing their opinions at school board meetings in all 50 states. They find their voices are being increasingly silenced by arrogant bureaucrats and officials who have decided they know best. Bureaucrats and officials so determined to control the narrative in schools that they're demanding authoritarian action.

In a memo to the FBI, AG Garland directed them to investigate and prosecute "threats" from parents towards school board members, despite the fact that this is outside the federal government's jurisdiction.

A group of parents is now suing Garland for overstepping his Constitutional authority and attacking free speech. It could also be argued that the Attorney General has a conflict of interest here, as his son-in-law is the co-founder of Panorama Education, a company that promotes and makes money off of curriculums based on Critical Race Theory.

The solution may seem to be to take your child out of public school and either opt for homeschooling or private education, and many parents have decided to do just that, with the amount of homeschoolers doubling in Maryland over the last two years.

Not everyone has the wherewithal to make these choices, however. If the federal government is allowed to continue overstepping their authority, it won't be long before they come after private and homeschoolers as well.

With the federal Department of Education ultimately having the final say on what is taught in schools nationwide, it is obvious why the Founding Fathers rejected the idea of a federal education system. The final say should always rest with the people, not the politicians, and the Constitution does not grant the government any authority regarding education.

The Department of Education, with its staff of 4,400 employees and budget of $68 Billion, should be abolished, and the power of choice returned to the rightful hands of the states and the people. But as Garland's recent memo demonstrates, Congress will never simply relinquish its influence over your children. But you can take it back with an Article V Convention.

Your Commissioners at a Convention of States could propose a power-limiting constitutional amendment that restricts the federal government from involvement in your child's education and dissolves the iron-fisted behemoth that is the Department of Education.

A final note about Garland's actions. While frightening, it is actually a good sign. It's a strong indication that Americans are finally rising up against the Swamp, and the Swamp is scared. We, the People are threatening their power, which is why they're trying to desperately to silence us.

Keep up the fight to restore self-governance, and sign the petition calling for a Convention of States to save your children and our nation's future from an oppressive federal bureaucracy!
