We're a nation built on self-governance. We don't take kindly to top-down orders from politicians who don't trust their own constituents. We'd rather be given all the information and be trusted to make the right decisions.
That's what the Open The States movement is all about. As Mark Meckler explained recently on the Steve Deace Show, we want states to open their economies while trusting their citizens to protect their health and that of their neighbors.
"This is what I call common sense compliance," Mark said. "We used our common sense. We're doing the things we know to stay safe. We don't need the government to force us to do it."
