Stay Engaged While at Home: Making the Most of the Pandemic Situation

Published in Blog on April 02, 2020 by Kameron Yarberry

With the Coronavirus impacting all 50 states and thousands of people in the United States, many people are finding themselves with much more time at home than before. We know that this time can often feel as if it is going to drag on, so we compiled a few things that everyone can do to make the most out of this newfound time.

Look After Your Family, Friends, and Neighbors

Take a few minutes of your day to reach out to your family, friends, and neighbors. Let them know that you are thinking about them and offer to help them in any way you can. If you have family at home with you, cherish this time together and find fun things to do as a family.

Stay Involved with COS

The message of self-governance behind Convention of States is more important than ever. Convention of States has innumerable resources for you to stay connected with the team and mission during this time. We recommend tuning into one of the many live streams that are being done on FB live, checking out our “5 Hour Activist” series on Youtube by clicking here, sharing COS on social media, or simply talking with your friends and family about the importance of Article V.

Now is a great time to share Convention of States on social media! Write a message about the importance of COS to you or share something from COS’s facebook page to get the conversation started.

If you are not currently volunteering, we would love to have you on board our mission for liberty and self-governance! To learn more about volunteering, click here.

Use Social Media to Spread Hope

Many aspects of our lives are currently inundated with negativity. If each of us took to social media to share hope and encouragement, thousands of people could see the messages and feel encouraged about their own present situations. Rise above the divisiveness and pessimism on social media and show your friends that a better America, one full of hope and unity, is within reach.

Stay Healthy

We strongly encourage everyone to use caution in deciding which social activities to take part in and to listen to the recommendations of trusted health officials. Wash your hands (more than you think you should) and avoid anything more than the necessary trips to work, grocery stores, or local businesses.
