Congratulations, Louisiana COS Action! Our centerpiece F3 legislation, SB 133, passed concurrence in the Louisiana Senate today with a vote of 37 yeas and 0 nays. Now it’s on its way to the governor’s office.
With the passage of this bill, Louisiana has stood for our state sovereignty, declaring that “The World Health Organization, the United Nations, and the World Economic Forum shall have no jurisdiction or power within the state of Louisiana.”
Thank you to everyone who responded to our many calls to action for this bill. You contacted committee members in the Senate where it was reported favorably. You contacted your senators who passed it by a vote of 37 yeas and 0 nays, after which it was sent to House and Governmental Affairs.
Your responses to additional calls to action helped to get the bill out of the House committee and then to the floor of the House where it passed with 69 yeas to 22 nays.
Many thanks to Senator Thomas Pressly, the primary sponsor of this excellent piece of legislation and to Senator Valarie Hodges and Representative Kathy Edmonston who were co-sponsors.
