Pre-Election Homework: Finding Your Ballot

Published in Blog on July 10, 2024 by Robin Riddell

Have you noticed that it’s election season? (Yes, that’s sarcasm.)

It’s not hard to miss the battle of the political TV ads. Paying attention to the commercials can give you whiplash as Democrat ads often run back-to-back with a Republican ad in the same commercial break.

What did they say? Who’s running? I’ve never heard of them before. Are they even on my local ballot?

Don’t rely on political ads to learn about your local candidates.

Know who and what are on your local ballot before election day so you can vet the candidates yourself. The Michigan Voter Information Center is your go-to resource for viewing your local ballot.

After providing your local information, you can view your local ballot. You will have everything you need to research your candidates independently – instead of relying on all those noisy TV commercials.

The General Election is November 5, 2024.
