Patriots in Naugatuck plan for victory

The Convention of States Connecticut team met Saturday, January 9, at State Director Maureen Zollo's home to consider next steps.

The COS resolution will be presented to the legislature's Government Administrative and Election Committee members this spring.

We discussed how best to approach committee members to inform them of what a convention of states involves, as well as its importance to our state and the constituents in their districts who signed the petition to ask for their support of the application.

The team listened to the COS-at-Home Webinar with guest speaker Pete Hegseth (Fox & Friends co-host), which was informative and encouraging.

Howard Boothroyd--a former Florida Regional Captain and former Connecticut District Captain--was kind enough to drop in to our meeting to discuss various ideas for promoting our cause. We plan to implement many of his suggestions. Thank you, Howard.

The remainder of our time was spent practicing how to approach legislators and citizens to explain Convention of States and why they should sign the petition and volunteer.

Now is the time to let our legislators know we want an Article V convention of states.
