The news about Obamacare premiums is getting worse.
A new estimate from the American Action Forum puts the premium increase at 27 percent, significantly higher than previous federal projections. The feds did not consider the fact that nearly half of Obamacare plans no longer exist, which will force enrollees to switch to costlier plans.
The report cited the lack of competition under Obamacare, where one-third of the country will only have one insurer to choose from in the exchanges, for rising costs.
Federal involvement in the healthcare industry has been a disaster every step of the way. Fortunately, patriotic Americans have both short-term and long-term solutions.

In the long term, thousands of Americans are pushing for an Article V Convention of States to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.
A Convention of States can propose constitutional amendments that clarify the Founders’ original intent of a small federal government with specific, enumerated powers.
Obamacare would never have gotten off the ground with these amendments in place, and, once a Convention is held and amendments are ratified, the feds will be significantly limited in their ability to meddle in private affairs.
