North Carolina Lt. Governor: "I support the efforts of the Convention of States Project"

Published in Blog on August 10, 2021 by Article V Patriot

Like many Convention of States volunteers and supporters, North Carolina Lt. Governor Mark Robinson got his start in politics simply because he cared about the state of his country and community. He rose to national fame by speaking out against gun control at a Greensboro City Council meeting, where he made a passionate plea for the law-abiding majority.

Robinson has remained committed to serving the interests of everyday Americans, and that commitment led him to join the Convention of States movement as an official endorser.

"The Biden administration has led our nation down a dangerous path of reckless spending and incredulous overreach. Despite what his administration and others on the extreme left may believe, we do not have an unlimited amount of money, and we live in a Constitutional Republic which was originally designed to keep our federal government from having too much power," Robinson said.

"That is why I support the efforts of the Convention of States Project to allow for a limited Article V convention of the states to consider and propose amendments that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit its power and jurisdiction, and set term limits for federal officials and members of Congress."

We're proud to have Lt. Governor Robinson on board at the Convention of States Project. His unwavering commitment to liberty and self-governance matches that of our volunteers in North Carolina, where we're just one vote away from passing the Convention of States Resolution.

If you live in North Carolina, will you consider joining Lt. Governor Robinson and voicing your support for our Resolution? We need to let all North Carolina senators know that their constituents want them to vote YES on the COS Resolution (HJR 233).
