These words from the Declaration of Independence outline the principles and worldview upon which our country was founded. Sadly, the government that was instituted by the Founding Fathers no longer seeks to derive its power from the people. Instead, the government lies, deceives, and sows division in an effort to centralize power.
Thankfully, the Founders outlined in the Declaration that "whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it.”
They would later outline how to alter our government peacefully in Article V of the U.S. Constitution.
