Convention of States Action President Mark Meckler recently appeared on Steve Hilton's Fox News show The Next Revolution to discuss how Article V empowers the states and the people to shrink the size and scope of the federal government.
In the interview, Hilton asks a very good -- very common -- question about Article V. What about the 10th Amendment? Doesn't the 10th Amendment already give states power over everything not expressly granted to the feds in the Constitution?
Meckler responds by reminding Hilton that over 100 years of judicial activism has virtually eliminated that section of the Constitution. Now, the real Constitution is comprised of these erroneous Supreme Court decisions, which give the feds far more power than they should have.
That's why we still need an Article V Convention of States. A Convention of States can amend the Constitution to eliminate these court rulings and restore our country to the federalist republic our Founders intended.
