Mask On, Mask Off. Good Student.

Published in Blog on September 23, 2021 by Will T. Zwart

When it comes to masks and kids, there seem to be as many different rules as there are opinions. Some states strictly mandate them in every school, others have no restrictions at all, and some, like Maryland, are on the fence. Governor Hogan has decided that individual school districts and counties can decide for themselves.

Evidently, the Maryland state school board missed the memo, because as of August 24th, they've mandated masks for every school child, regardless of the fact that victims ages 1-14 only account for aproximately 0.0003% of all COVID-19 deaths.

That means a child is more likely to die from the diseases on the mask than from the virus itself, if the mask even helps. Breathing through a cloth mask all day can produce dangerous effects if proper precautions are not taken, especially for children, who are now at risk of illnesses like:

  • Pneumonia
  • Meningitis
  • Lyme Disease
  • Sepsis (blood-poisoning)
  • Tuberculosis
  • Diphtheria

The same argument applies to the vaccine mandates. Exemptions are being denied, even for children who are at risk. Any authority that demands citizens be injected with an experimental and potentially lethal drug is one that is out of control.

Many parents have vocally disagreed with the board's mandate, but have been ignored, and while many in Maryland have said, "no" to the state system and are homeschooling their children, this is a symptom of an underlying problem.

The current authorities believe people cannot be trusted with their own freedom.

"Wear the mask." "Get the vaccine." "Stay at home." "Six feet apart. " "Follow the science." "That's not allowed." "It's a lawful order." "Just do as you're told." "I'm losing my patience."

These are all direct quotes from America's ruling class. They call themselves "civil servants", but the only people they serve are themselves. They care about money, power, and how to keep a tight hold on both, by any means necessary.

And they have used many means: propaganda, unconstitutional mandates, censorship, incarcerating citizens without due process, funding abortion, exempting themselves from their own laws and mandates, bypassing the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, gerrymandering, revising history, and ignoring the wishes of their electorate.

The Swamp has done all of this and more to retain their control, and they will continue to become increasingly corrupt and amoral until they are stopped. Once we embrace this truth, we can no longer ignore it.

The catalyst was COVID-19. Citizens saw it as a virus. Governments saw it as an opportunity. Even now, over a year later, we are still hearing the same mantras: "Cases are on the rise. People are dying. Wear the mask. Don't leave home. Be afraid."

While there are articles upon articles, sources upon sources, and experts upon experts for both sides of the argument, there is one fact that cannot be disputed by either party:

Number of U.S. deaths in 2019 for all causes: 2.9 million. Number of U.S. deaths in 2020 for all causes: 2.8 million.

Whether you believe it was a pandemic or a "plandemic," one thing is certain: this country was not founded, built, or sustained by people who sacrifice essential liberty for temporary safety, and it never will be. The essence of what it is to be an American is summed up in the words of Thomas Jefferson:

"I prefer dangerous freedom to peaceful slavery."

We have the right to choose what to do with our bodies, our children, our property, and our lives. Not the government, not the experts, not the doctors, the school boards, the health departments, the U.N., or any of the myriads of authorities who think they can tell us what to do.

We, the people, have the right to decide what to do with our own lives, and when others try to force us into an alternative position, we are obligated to resist, to say, "We do not comply."

Freedom does not mean you have the right to do what you want. It means you have the right to do what you ought.

Parents ought to decide whether or not to mask their child. Employers ought to decide whether to have vaccine requirements. Citizens ought to decide who speaks for them. And America ought to decide whether or not it wants essential liberty or temporary safety. It can't have both, and if it chooses the latter, it will lose both.

Let the Maryland Department of Education and your State Legislators know you stand for freedom, and remind them they work for you. Then, join the fight for the Convention of States movement, and preserve essential liberty.
