Jeff initially completed a COS petition back in 2018 at a county fair. Since then, he has grown increasingly alarmed at the downward spiral that our country has taken, both politically and morally.
As a result, Jeff and his wife made the critical decision to remove his child from the ever-declining public school education system. He also decided the time was right for him to become more involved in Convention of States. His willingness to speak frankly and boldly in front of crowds, as well as his indispensable gift of critical thinking, is what makes his addition to the COS team extremely significant.
Jeff was classically educated in the life sciences and has worked in this career field for 17 years. In 1998, he co-founded a gene associated with a neurological disorder. Jeff completed his Bachelor’s Degree in biochemistry at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. Subsequently, he finished his Master’s Degree in Molecular Biology from the same institution. Following these educational accomplishments, Jeff then attended Michigan State University until 2001 where he completed his MBA in Strategy.
Some of Mr. Williamson’s impressive achievements include winning the 2019 International Award for top 50 Technologies in IT creation of a virtual Tryon and eye measuring app for the eye-care market. Additionally, in 2020, he was awarded the International award for top 100 innovators in Healthcare novel use of VR technologies in diagnostic and therapeutic functions for people suffering from learning disorders like Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), or Irlen Syndrome.
Jeff describes his expectations for the future of our great nation as cautiously optimistic, but clearly, he feels there needs to be some serious attention to our worsening problems soon. Many of our country’s detrimental issues have been festering for over 100 years. Any short-term solution appears to be misguided and untenable.
His firm belief is that the success of the Convention of States goals is a critical starting point in the essential turnaround process. As United States citizens and directors of our destiny, we need to return to the days in which we were united as one nation. We need to address the crucial issues from which we can garner consensus from both sides of the political spectrum. Teaching other Americans about the COS solution (an Article V Convention) is also vital to address other potential problems in the future.
