The results of this recent poll demonstrates that Convention of States has a BIG TENT, which includes diverse political leanings & opinions - as our proposed amendment topics are supported by the majority of Americans.
Whenever people take the time to listen to what we are striving to accomplish, they generally find little or no fault with these peaceful, constitutionally grounded proposals for open discussion and final resolution to be worked out and ratified as amendments by the States. This is necessary, as Congress will never limit its own privileges, power or impose term limits on its members, as we have seen for many years.
All those who seek peaceful solutions, as we do, are particularly supportive of our 3 topics for amendment discussion & review:
1. Limit the power & scope of the federal government.
2. Imposed term limits on Congress, its staff and bureaucracies.
3. Fiscal restraints
Please take the time to research us; read our petition and sign it; share it with others. Our time is approaching to surpass the 19 State threshold and that will be a turning point for many doubters and especially for those entrenched in Washington DC who shall resist relinquishing their accumulated and excessive centralized powers.
Yes - there is much more work to accomplish, but it is well worth the effort.
The tipping point is near and clear, as we all feel that a genuine and lasting structural change in our nation’s government is a burning issue - something that few who give this proper attention can argue with.
Recent Example in action:
Just this past Saturday, two members of our NH strategy team withstood exposure to the biting temperatures for about 4 hours outside a MarketBasket supermarket in Salem, NH; in that short time, they gathered over 100 signed petitions (many from Massachusetts, as it is close the border and New Hampshire's zero sales tax is a magnet for many in that State). The general response was terrific, aided in large part by an effective marketing tool - using simple hand-held signs with messages such as “Term Limits” & “Balanced Budget”; so many people stated they were "fed up" with the status quo and more than a few engaged our team members in conversations to learn more about Article V and our grass roots movement, leading to these great results in a short period and despite the bitterly cold weather.
Please consider joining us as part-time volunteers.
Again - we have a BIG TENT.
