Maine is suffering under one of the five most severe state economic lockdowns, according to The Wall Street Journal.
Citizens of Maine gathered at its capitol on Saturday to collect signatures for a "Petition of Grievances" against Governor Janet Mills. The petition outlines specific violations to the state constitution and the U.S. Constitution.
To date, Maine has had 2,067 confirmed cases of
the COVID-19 virus, among its 1.3 million residents, a
level below that of the seasonal flu. This discrepancy has caused residents to ask why the Governor has not addressed the
larger economic problems created by continuing the
quarantine.
