On this Independence Day weekend, let’s not lament our lost freedoms. Let’s not complain about our leaders or curse the state of the union. Let’s resolve to restore the fine character of the greatest nation on earth.
Let us appreciate our nation’s forefathers, who while not perfect individuals, studied and used history to create the Constitution so thoughtful it has governed us for 247 years. Even better, it outlines the way we break up the bloated and corrupt center of power our forefathers knew could happen.
Let us take time to appreciate the thousands of men and women of all colors that sacrificed their time and woefully, their lives to protect our freedoms.
We owe it to them to join the fight to restore this nation.
We owe it to our children and grandchildren to restore this nation.
This is not a partisan fight. This is not a racial fight. This is a fight about freedom. This is about the land of the free and the home of the brave. This is about preserving the Unites States of America.
Imagine how sweet it will be to know you were a part of history. Imagine the satisfaction of knowing that you helped create a governmental system that once again represents the people. Imagine being able to watch your children and grandchildren sing the Star Spangled Banner proudly, knowing they will have opportunity to be anything they strive to be.
This journey will not happen overnight. It can be peaceful, but it will not be without challenges and strife. That’s what makes victory so sweet.
If you have not become involved in the Convention of States, now is the time. If you have volunteered, step up to do more. We need 34 states to call the convention. We have 19, with 7 a vote or two away. We need to build the “army” of patriots by spreading the word, educating neighbors and friends, talking to legislators, and more. There is an opportunity for everyone.
Freedom has a price. As a nation, we have enjoyed it for 247 years. Let's make sure we earn that 250th Independence Day and all the sweetness that victory will bring.
