Gone are the days when the majority of American institutions exercised prudence with regard to what was appropriate for the eyes and ears of children. But vigilance over that which American youth are exposed remains crucial. We know, “The devil walks about seeking whom he may devour through the influence of our ungodly culture!” (1 Peter 5:8) In an effort to protect the innocence and very souls of my children years ago, my wife and I understood how young minds could be influenced in ungodly ways and set the rules of our home accordingly.
But despite mindful parenting on behalf of God-fearing Americans, our schools have now fallen to the authority of leftists pushing Marxist ideology. Schools. The very place where developing minds are most vulnerable: elementary through college. Right now, leftists are injecting their dangerous curricula promoting critical race theory (CRT) and Marxist propaganda designed to destroy the family and indoctrinate children whose minds they know are, “like wet cement.”
The good news is nefarious behavior of left-leaning school boards is being exposed such as in the case of the recent revelation of the Loudin County, Virginia father who was dragged out of the school board meeting there after protesting the school’s transgender policies. Such dangerous policies resulted in the sexual assault of his daughter by a “gender confused” male student allowed to use the girls’ restroom. To avoid any recoil regarding the school’s transgender policies, the school board downplayed this and other assaults on young women. But concerned parents are pushing back, as is the US Department of Justice in conjunction with the National School Board Association.
In order to more effectively thwart the evil happening in our schools, we must first fully understand it. As citizen activists it behooves us to pay close attention to exactly what is happening to education in America. Consider watching the new documentary Whose Children Are They? which airs in select theaters this Monday. More information can be found online. The documentary will address how corrupt teachers unions are the vehicle for propelling these destructive Marxist ideas.
Equally to blame is the unconstitutional Federal Department of Education. The Federal Government has no constitutional right to be involved in education per Article 1, section 8 of the tenth amendment. And yet, a major part of the Biden Build Back “Broke” bill was to provide billions of dollars under the title, "Human Infrastructure" to offer incentives for schools to adopt curriculum pushing CRT and diversity training for pre-k students through high school.
The dangerous example of an education system at the mercy of Marxist ideas that cascade from Washington is one of the reasons I work tirelessly to enact Article V, the legal safeguard our Founding Fathers gave to us in our Constitution to protect us from an out-of-control Federal Government!
We are closer than ever in Ohio to passing an Article V resolution which has now been introduced in both the Ohio House and Senate. It is imperative we reach out in earnest to liberty-minded citizens to join our grassroots army. We must add Ohio to the list of 18 other states calling for a state convention that can suggest amendments to reign in the destructive federal overreach affecting our lives and those of our innocent children. Get the Federal Government out of our schools!
