Illegals To Hotel Rooms, Homeless Vets To Gutters

Published in Blog on September 23, 2021 by Charles Childers

The government spends $218 Billion on Vets and $324 Billion on Illegals

The United States Department of Veterans Affairs had outlays of about 218.39 billion U.S. dollars in 2020. By 2026, the outlays of the Department of Veterans Affairs are expected to increase to about 334.8 billion U.S. dollars. (Source: US Veterans Affairs)

Since the creation of the Department of Homeland Security in 2003, the federal government has spent an estimated $324 billion on the agencies that carry out immigration enforcement. (Source: American Immigration Council).

All told, the nearly $135 billion (each year) paid out by federal and state and local taxpayers to cover the cost of the presence of 12.5 million illegal aliens and their 4.2 million citizen children amounts to approximately $8,075 per illegal alien and citizen child prior to taxes paid, or $6,940 per person after taxes are paid.

On March 20, Axios reported that the Biden administration has entered into a six-month contract worth $86 million to house 1,200 migrant family members near the Southwest border in Texas and Arizona. That works out to $71,666.67 per migrant, paid by your tax dollars, meaning that you are now a co-conspirator to one of the largest smuggling schemes in history.

Keep in mind, as the outlet notes, that $86 million is just the beginning, as the contract (“through Endeavors, a Texas-based nonprofit” — I would hate to see the tab if they were in it for the money) “could be extended and expanded.” (Source AXIOS)

President Joe Biden's administration has secured an $86 million contract for hotels to house migrants.

That is $392.69 per Person per Night on Hotels for Illegal Border-Crossers.

According to the Department of Housing and Urban Development, it would cost $20 billion to end homelessness in the United States. That is a big number, yes, but let's put it into perspective: Americans spend $19 billion a year on unplugged appliances. Americans spend more than $35 billion a year on gym memberships. Almost 40,000 veterans are without shelter in the US on any given night.

The leading causes of homelessness among vets are PTSD, social isolation, unemployment, and substance abuse.

Veterans account for 11% of homeless adults in the US.

California has the highest estimated number of veterans experiencing homelessness

Sunny California is sitting at the top of the list with nearly 11,000 veterans currently living without any shelter. The exact number in 2019 was 10,980, which is nearly 5 times more than the second state on the list. California also has the highest number of homeless people in the US per state.

Actions speak in a loud, clear voice. The actions of this current government administration are saying to the illegal immigrants (who have done zero for this nation), “Welcome to the land of milk and honey. We will give you food, shelter, safety, medicine, education, and opportunity.” And it is this same government administration which is saying (by their actions) to the veterans who have given everything except their lives to the service of this nation, “We don't care about you!”

We can fix this. Close the border. Stop all illegal immigration. Deport all illegals and their child citizens. Make it a FELONY TO ILLEGALY CROSS OUR BORDERS. Punish these felons, then deport them….all of them. Transfer the funds being squandered on these border-crashing-do-nothings and put the funds to work for veterans. Veterans gave their best for their country. Now, because of this sacrifice they suffer. We owe the vets. We do NOT owe the illegals.

WE CAN FIX THIS.  WE CANNOT FIX STUPID

The Convention of States can force the federal government to spend our money how we want it to be spent. We need 34 states to call this convention, and California should be one of them. You can help by signing the petition for California to join the convention. You can also help by volunteering. There are lots of volunteer opportunities.
