Anna and daughter Kylee turn lemons into lemonade for Convention of States

Published in Blog on August 19, 2020 by Anna Omsberg

One of Convention of States Colorado's newest District Captains held a family lemonade stand on the side of a scenic highway and obtained 22 petition signatures. Here is her report.

How can you obtain Convention of States signed petitions during the age of COVID-19? Naturally, We the People take lemons and make lemonade!

My seven-year-old daughter Kylee was on fire making lemonade this past week. She was so excited that we attempted homemade lemonade and took to the street for a taste-testing and a Convention of States petition signing event.

We constructed and painted road signs to post on a scenic highway that caught the attention of weekend travelers.

We are proud to report that of the 28 adults who stopped to enjoy a cup of cold lemonade, 22 proudly signed the COS petition.

Two signers shared that they lean left but believe in Article V of our great Constitution with our three focal points: term limits, fiscal responsibility, and restoring balance between the federal government and states.

It was the best weekend of the summer, so far!
