Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Step one – Receive the power and authority to accomplish this task by coming under the mission (submission) of Jesus, the One with “all power and authority.”
Step two – Become a disciple of the Word yourself under the tutelage of the Divine Mentor who is the Holy Spirit, John 14:26, so you can be a disciple.
Step three – Get started, “go and make disciples” with the One who promised, “I am with you always.”
Jesus did it with 12 common laborers and changed history. William Wilberforce did it during the darkest days in England and “made goodness fashionable again,” eventually ending a long history of slavery in that nation. George Whitfield did it by traveling throughout the divided colonies, uniting them under the evangelical teachings of Scripture during a time of crisis that led to the birth of America!
You can do it too, just get started! Imagine if every evangelical Christian in America, 40 million of us, discipled only three people. What would that do for our nation? 120 million believers storming the gates of hell is bound to make a difference!
Remember, politics are not the answer to our nations problem. Politics are merely a reflection of the culture. The culture itself needs to change and this is how we do it.
“Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious People. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.” – John Adams
