What do you mean you have a job and cannot make it to the Capitol Building on a weekday?
We understand. But you can have just as much impact right from home.
Do a video petition! Here are a few examples to inspire you:
- Mark Moore, Eaton
- Tricia Anthone, Centennial
- Deborah Miller, Westcliffe
- Lisa Rochrohr, Colorado Springs
- Aaron Dukette, Woodland Park
- Stacy Clark Sacks, Federal Heights
HOW TO MAKE A VIDEO PETITION
Here are you instructions for creating a video petition on your own. Once submitted, we will edit and share widely on social media, tagging your legislator.
STEP 1: On a phone, computer, or digital camera, record a 2-3 minute brief video petition.
- Introduce your full name and the city you live in.
- State the names of your state representative and state senator. If you are not familiar, you can look them up here.
- Speak from your heart on why you personally support COS.
- Urge your state legislators to support the Convention of States resolution so that we can rein in the out-of-control runaway federal government. Urge others in your constituencies to contact their legislators to do the same.
- Keep it two to three minutes.
- Be passionate and bold but kind. Be a happy warrior, always.
STEP 2: Once you have recorded the video, email it to Aaron Dukette at aaron.dukette@cosaction.com. We will do the editing and get it ready for sharing on the state Facebook page. We will tag your legislators to the post.
STEP 3: Once you get the link to the published video petition, personally email your legislators the video petition link. Share it also on social media and tag your legislators (you will need to "friend" or "like" them to do this). We are looking forward to seeing these! Thank you for doing your part to make a big impact in Colorado.
