New for 2018, the Convention of States Hawaii team has devised a plan for legislative success: filing the Convention of States (COS) resolution as early as possible.
Sponsors in both the Hawaii House and Senate are poised to submit identical resolutions within the first few days of the 2018 legislative session. With no change in either the language or sponsors from last year, getting the application recorded and registered early in each house will be much easier.
Filing early, well ahead of the March 9th deadline, assures referrals to House and Senate committees in plenty of time for public hearings. Committee hearings will provide a great opportunity for COS supporters to provide written testimony and then join our team at the capitol as we present our case directly to committee members.
