Fond du Lac Coffee Meet and Greet: make friends, find solutions

Published in Blog on May 06, 2018 by Scott Thomson

Coffee and Convention of States? Saturday just got a whole lot better!

Join Ann Wentworth and other Convention of States volunteers at Boda’s Restaurant, 277 S Pioneer Rd, in Fond du Lac on Saturday, May 19, at 1:00pm for coffee and an opportunity to meet new friends.

Learn how an Article V convention can significantly reduce our government's footprint by placing constitutional constraints on a federal government that is out of control and ignores the will of the people.

Convention of States is a grassroots nonprofit organization that has grown to over 3.3 million supporters nationwide. Wisconsin has experienced a volunteer growth of over 300% since 2016, and over 14,000 Wisconsinites have signed petitions calling for a limited convention under Article V of the US Constitution, based upon the following points:

  • enacting fiscal restraints on the federal government,
  • limiting the federal government’s scope and jurisdiction,
  • and mandating term limits for federal employees and members of Congress.
Twelve states have already passed this Article V resolution. Won’t you help add Wisconsin to this list? Join us at Boda’s and learn what you can do to support this effort.

Remember, “a government big enough to give you everything you want is big enough to take everything you have.”

Hope to see you there.
