Elitist MSNBC analyst thinks the people shouldn't determine public policy

Published in Uncategorized on December 14, 2017 by Article V Patriot

The following was written by Mark Meckler and originally published on his Patheos blog.

This is a great window into the thinking of the "Elite." MSNBC political analyst Elise Jordan literally said it was “unfortunate” that the Republican’s recent tax reform bill was possible because of “how you voted in an election.”

Yes.  It’s called a congressional majority, and there are benefits to having it.  That’s why political parties put a lot of effort and money into winning elections. You’d think a political analyst would understand that.  You’d think any kid in high school should know that.  Watch it by clicking here, but here’s how it went down.

Host Katy Tur asked her about the GOP tax reform bill, including the corporate tax rate reduction, the high-income individual tax rate cut, the mortgage interest deduction limit drop, and the business income deduction drop.

“Is that enough to assuage some Republican lawmakers in states like New York, New Jersey, and California?” she asked.

Jordan took it upon herself to answer.

“I think it’s unfortunate that we are designing — that we are designing public policy in a way that, you know, comes down to how you voted in an election,” she said.

This is too rich.  Let me paraphrase what this elitist analyst thinks about American voters:  “It’s tragic that we have to listen to the voters at all…they’re just so stupid…and they smell bad too.”

And if Hillary had won, she would be saying, “Thank God for the wisdom of the brilliant American voters in their rejection of the Neanderthal Republicans and candidate Trump.”

The condescension of the elites knows absolutely no bounds.

These are the kind of people who run the mainstream media and the federal buraucracy. Let's make sure that no matter who wins the next election cycle, the people remain in control.
