According to a recent poll by the Pew Research Center, 24% of all Americans now view both the GOP and Democratic Party unfavorably -- a record since the poll was started in 1992. Not only that, but the percentage of Americans who feel this way has been steadily rising since 2002.
When such a high percentage of Americans from both major parties don’t feel represented, something has to change. For too long our leaders in D.C. have ignored the views of their constituents, seeking instead to line their own pockets and extend their own careers.
An Article V Convention of States is the answer the American people have been seeking. By proposing constitutional amendments that limit the power of the federal government and impose term limits on federal officials, the people -- acting their their state legislatures -- can bring their elected leaders back in line.
