COVID origins “most likely” a Wuhan lab leak, FBI confirms

Published in Blog on February 28, 2023 by Catie Robertson

“The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan,” said FBI Director Christopher Wray in a Fox News interview this week.

His statement follows a Senate investigation into the origins of the Covid-19 virus and a report released by the Department of Energy that drew similar conclusions. According to the Wall Street Journal, the Department of Energy recently assessed that the pandemic was the result of a Chinese lab leak in Wuhan.

This comes as a slap in the face to many Americans.

For the last three years, citizens have been silenced and censored for connecting China to the virus, and much more for suggesting it was released from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.

Social media would flag posts for suggesting a laboratory origin. Mainstream media outlets ran articles disparaging the lab leak theory. Both the Washington Post and NY Times called it a “fringe theory” while the Scientific American suggested the theory “made it harder for scientists to seek the truth.”

Behind the scenes in April 2020, NIH director Dr. Francis Collins strategized in an email to Dr. Fauci how his department might be able to shut down this “very destructive conspiracy.”

Two years later, when called upon to testify to Congress, Fauci called Sen. Rand Paul a liar for suggesting U.S. federal agencies were funding “gain-of-function” research overseas. In fact, Fauci was sending money for this very kind of research to the Wuhan Institute of Virology through funding of the Ecohealth Alliance.

More recently on PBS NewsHour, Fauci laughed at the suggestion that he was not “transparent” about the origins and nature of the virus.

Is it any wonder there is distrust between the government and the people?

FBI director Wray goes on to frame this lab leak in terms of international consequences. “So here you’re talking about a potential leak from a Chinese government-controlled lab that killed millions of Americans.”

Let us remember, it was not only China’s government that “has been doing its best to try to thwart and obfuscate the work here,” but our own as well – every step of the way.

These bureaucrats must be held accountable for their actions and lies, deliberately tailored to keep Americans in the dark.
