COSA PA Volunteer of the month for August 2023

Published in Blog on August 14, 2023 by COSA PA Comms Team

COSA PA wishes to share the story of one truly inspirational lady; her standards on living life will serve as an example for the rest of us to follow. After watching this country inch closer and closer to the abyss throughout her life, she discovered the answer in 2016 and has been volunteering to spread our message - There is a Solution as Big as the Problem - ever since!

Barbara Scheuer was born during the "Great Depression", and the lessons she learned from the experience have served her well.

Just think about the history she has observed firsthand: World War Two, the "Rise of Communism", the "Golden Age" of the 1950s, the "Baby Boom", the "Cold War", the "Civil Rights" movement, the Assignation of President Kennedy, the "Anti-War" movement, the "Sexual Revolution", the "Me Decade", the Reagan "Era of Excess", the defeat of Communism when the Soviet Union collapsed and the Berlin Wall being torn down, 9/11, the "Tea Party", and the second "Great Awakening" with the birth of Convention of States Action.

In 2016, Barb heard Mark Meckler talk about the simulation of a convention of states on Glenn Beck's program; that was her moment of inspiration. She realized there was still hope, and she immediately signed the petition and began to volunteer.

Barb donned her signature red, white, and blue hat and started going door-to-door in her building getting petitions signed. She then started going door-to-door in her neighborhood; even when she was sidelined with a stint in a nursing home to recover from injury, she continued to get petitions signed by going room-to-room.

Barb has attended every "surge" event in Harrisburg, and local in-person meetings in Region 5 regularly.

Just a few weeks ago, at the in-person meeting held at the Village at Poconos, Barb's fellow volunteers wanted to demonstrate their gratitude for all the work she has done so they threw her a birthday party.

You don't ask a lady her age, so we will just say Barbara has the energy and drive of a person half her age.

Happy belated birthday Barbara, and may you continue to inspire "We the People" for years to come. Thank you for all you do to KEEP HOPE ALIVE!
