A Message from Mike Rilee, State Director - District 19
These are meaningful times.
I am grateful for all of the work that COS patriots across the state have been devoting to reclaiming self-governance.
We are just a hair's breadth from reaching 30,000 petition signers in Maryland!
We've set up booths and tables at more events in more counties across the state than ever before! Check out our upcoming events calendar below for the latest.
But October was such an amazing month! The 2022 Leadership Summit brought over 600 COS leaders from across the nation to Orlando, Florida--the freest state in the world--for an inspirational conference with some of the greatest political minds in the country.
More and more people are stepping forward to learn about and pick up the reins of governance that have too long been let to drag behind a federal government galloping out of control.
The election that is currently going on, culminating Tuesday 11/8, is critically important. Perhaps good will come of it, yet solutions for the systemic failures and corruption directly traceable to the abuse of the Constitution are not on the ballot. Decades on decades of gaming the system have taken their toll, and it's up to us to relearn how to be citizens and use the tools the Founders left us.
An Article V Convention of States is the only tool we have to stop the runaway federal government. We must use it before the Constitution that protects our rights from government abuse becomes a historical footnote of a failed experiment in self-governance.
Does that star spangled banner yet wave over us? Are we still the land of the free and the home of the brave? There's only one way to prove it.
It's up to us. No one else is coming.
After the election, we'll call on you to reach out to our newly elected and re-elected officials to tell them...
We will have an Article V Convention of States.
Then we'll go to Annapolis and tell them in person.
Then we'll go to their committee hearings and testify.
Then we'll call them and write them and we'll hold rallies.
We'll gather with our neighbors in churches and bars and libraries and schools and homes, and teach each other how to lead and be citizens once more.
People who recognize the content of each other's character, without regard to any of the ways our opponents distract and divide.
And when we lose volunteers due to life's whims and vagaries, ten more will step forward, pick up our country's flag, and use the Constitution to save the Constitution.
Because we're Americans. Rally to the flag!

We cannot ignore the Constitution - not for good intentions and certainly not for bad deeds. Clearly, Marylanders agree because we are paying close attention to Article V of the Constitution by signing the Convention of States Action petition.
We're inspired by the actions of our Maryland supporters - those who are sound of heart. We're on pace to surpass 30,000 petition signers in 2022. Our progress since 2018 looks like this:
