On Saturday and Sunday (March 12th & 13th), the COSHI Team returned to the first biannual of 2022 Great Guns Show sponsored by the Hawaii Historic Arms Association.
Opening Crew (L-R) Diane, Jim, Jolanda-Mae, Mark, and Anna
After a two-year hiatus due to the COVID fear, we were busy! We collected a COSHI weekend event record number of 345+ petition signatures! Our goal was 200 signatures for the weekend and our team of engaged volunteers blasted right through that goal and kept going.
I spy... Ijeva, Julie, Alberta and Jim engaging attendees!
State Director Mark White was amazed with the team’s effort throughout the event, because for many it was their first-time, stating, “Watching from a distance I was so impressed to see how each of them approached people in their own very effective way and confidently explained our mission!

In addition to our petition signing, we also conducted a voter registration drive and registered 25+ new voters! Mahalo to Anna Hudson, Kuka Broussard, Chris Tanaka, and Rita Kama-Kimura. Rita who has participated with us at past gun shows, but was manning the voter registration table said, "You folks did a fantastic job and everyone appeared to have had a bit of fun at the same time …. Can’t wait to work with y’all again."

Overall, the Great Guns Show was a great boost for the Hawaii team after two years of being in lockdown, the spirit of camaraderie and fellowship spurred the team to excitement for the next Great Guns Show in October, the weekend before several of us travel to the Liberty Summit.
