COS "Freedom Pods" grow across Pennsylvania

Published in Blog on August 12, 2022 by Ruth Hoskins

Every first Wednesday of the month at 6:30 pm in Southeastern Pennsylvania (SEPA), a monthly Convention of States meeting is held at the Church on the Mall in Plymouth Meeting, PA.

The purpose is to spread the message of self-governance and the mission of COSA.

As the Church on the Mall meeting approaches its first anniversary in October 2022, SEPA is excited to announce a second "Freedom Pod," as we are calling the meetings, spreading the message; reigning in government overreach that infringes on our God-given rights, and educating attendees on Article V and why the Framers put this tool in the Constitution.

The second "Freedom Pod" is opening in West Chester, PA.

The meeting will be held on August 23rd from 7:15 to 8:45 pm at the Elks Lodge (853) 401 W. Washington Street, West Chester, PA.

COS SEPA patriots are following in the footsteps of William Penn, one of the founders of freedom in this great commonwealth.

Pennsylvania is one of the original 13 colonies. William Penn founded the colony as a haven for his fellow Quakers to escape religious persecution.

Pennsylvania’s capital, Philadelphia, was the site of the first and second Continental Congresses in 1774 and 1775, the latter of which produced the Declaration of Independence, sparking the American Revolution.

The First Continental Congress, comprised of delegates from the colonies, met in 1774 in reaction to the Intolerable Acts, a series of measures imposed by the British Parliament after the colonies resisted new taxes.

After the war, Pennsylvania became the second state, after Delaware, to ratify the U.S. Constitution.

During the American Civil War (1861-1865), Pennsylvania was the site of the Battle of Gettysburg, in which Union General George Meade defeated Confederate General Robert E. Lee, bringing an end to the Confederacy’s Northern invasion, as well as Lincoln’s famous Gettysburg Address."
