Hawaii homeschoolers get special webinar on U.S. Constitution

Published in Blog on September 25, 2019 by Mark Kenneth White

On September 18 of Constitution Week, Convention of States Hawaii State Director Mark White gave Hawaii homeschoolers a special presentation about our governing document on its 232nd birthday.

The 40-minute broadcast described the Constitution's core foundation (the Declaration of Independence), its structure, the Bill of Rights, and concluded by describing how Article V empowers individuals through the authority granted to state governments.

COS Hawaii volunteer Keola Smith organized the educational event through her contacts with the Christian Homeschools of Hawaii (CHOH). She designed a flyer that CHOH distributed a week ahead of the broadcast, then sent reminders at the start of Constitution Week.

While the original Wednesday evening broadcast was lightly attended, the video link to the recording was made available to homeschoolers and has been watched more than any other webinar held by the Hawaii team.
