Colorado Regional Captain, Joe Fockler, was invited to present the Convention of States Project to members of "Stand for the Constitution," a recently organized and quickly growing political action group in the Grand Junction area. Joe met
the group's organizer, Nova Tucker, at a political rally in Grand Junction in April where Joe was manning a COS booth.
After signing the COS petition, Nova asked Joe to present Convention of States at their monthly meeting in May, held at Orchard Mesa Christian Church.
Of the evening's presentation Joe reports:
"I was expecting a small group of maybe 12 to 15, but was delighted when I arrived to see the church's sanctuary full with 70 people filling the pews. After telling the crowd a little about myself, I showed Kyle Key's Prezi Presentation of Convention of States which takes about 20 minutes."
The presentation generated a lot of questions and discussion with particular interest in how the prospect for a Convention of States will fare in the very blue state of Colorado. With some fairly heated discussion still going strong at 8pm, the moderator had to bring the meeting to a close. However, Joe continued to field questions and comments for an additional 30 minutes following the close of the session.
In a follow-up email after the meeting, Ms. Tucker
reported to Joe that she had gotten a lot of positive feedback from those in attendance who had found the presentation to be very informative and much appreciated.
The COS Colorado team offers its gratitude for the advancement that Regional Captain, Joe Fockler, is making on the Western Slope of Colorado. Other grassroots leaders can find Kyle Key's presentation and scripts by clicking here and navigating under the heading, "Links to Presentation Resources."
May God continue to bless your efforts in the cause of liberty, Joe!
