A collaborative work began in 2023 between our Convention of States (COS) volunteers and the NJ based Ladies for Liberty Patriots Food Pantry. Their mission is to collect food provisions for veterans. Our COS volunteers cross paths with many other patriotic like-minded individuals and groups as we surf on social media, when we conduct outreach at events, interact with our visitors at our meetings or have a cup of coffee with a friend. Our connection with this group began from a Facebook post inquiry.
Ladies for Liberty (LFL) researched for causes to effect positive change in our New Jersey communities. It was discovered that veterans’ resources run out by the third week of each month, therefore food is the first necessity that suffers for veterans' families.
About 24 percent of these families needs some sort of aid to secure enough food.** Taking it a step further, LFL Patriots Food Pantry (PFP) seek out those that have the lowest inventory when deciding the next food pantry to assist. Thoughtfully they also rotate their food drives to all regions of the state, however provisions are collected from all areas of NJ for each event. Open this link Military-Assistance-Program-Food-Drive April-2024 to read about former COS and LFL-PFP collaborations.
On Nov 15, 2024, our COS team brought our donated provisions to the Somerset Distribution Center to be taken to the the Veterans Hospital Food Pantry in Lyons. Total from the COSNJ and LFL-PFP collaboration was 1,722 pounds of food collected as well as $1,365 of donated grocery gift cards. We thank all who participated.

CW Regional Meeting 2024
Our COS team educated their members on the need for and importance of an Article V amending convention lead by the Legislatures of the states of our union. Please open our COS RESOURCE CENTER to learn more.
The US Constitution has a legal and viable protocol in Article V to create term limits for federal officials, impose fiscal restraints on government spending and to restrict the scope and jurisdiction of the federal government. The process originates with us letting our State Legislators know they have the power of our founding document to effect change. If you have not yet let your legislator know you support such a work sign the Petition (online) to Call for a Convention of States . Please enter a street address and zip code + 4 digits so your petition is directed to your two NJ Assembly Members and one NJ Senator for the NJ Legislative District Where you reside.
