The Convention of States movement continues to leap forward in 2022! Teams in Maryland have been hard at work getting petition signers and spreading the word about Article V.
First, a team in Calvert County set up a Booth for Liberty at North Beach and collected over 40 signatures in just three hours! They were at it again the next day, attending the Dragon Boat Races on Solomon's Island, where another 17 petition signers put their John Hancock in support of Convention of States.
But there's more! On September 2nd, they managed to collect an additional 22 petitions at North Beach while battling heavy wind and a 2-hour shutdown.
We're not done yet!
At the St Mary’s County Fair, Team Maryland collected 119 signatures. Special thanks to Scott McPherson who worked a total of 32 hours at the COS booth over the 4 day event over the September 24 weekend.
Volunteers of Convention of States Action Maryland were on hand at the Anne Arundel County Fair September 14-18, where they had a COS booth on the promenade. Seth Lipko, Regional Captain for the area, reported:
I stopped by the Libertarian, Democrat, and Republican booths on my way out of the fair yesterday...good conversations at each point. I heard the team was running out of paper petitions by the end of the day yesterday!
With over 175 petitions added in just one week, the Maryland team is going strong, and will continue to engage and inspire all across the Old Line State, giving others hope about a meaningful solution as big as the country's problems!
Be sure to attend an event near you!
Upcoming: Blockwalking on October 15, 9am-11am in Windsor Mill.
If you've already signed the petition - Thank you!
If not, please do so and then send the link to your circle of influence.
19 out of the 34 states needed have passed the Convention of States resolution. The Convention is coming! Come along for the ride!
