COSHI Capitol Visitors Go Deep Into Offices

Published in Blog on February 02, 2024 by Mark Kenneth White

Hawaiis team gathers at the Capitol on January 31, 2024.  Back Row, Left to Right: Brett Kulbis, Jack Van Osdol, Ginger Goodwin, and Lori Nip.  Front Row, Left to Right: Donna Van Osdol, Lei Lono, Chanara Richmond, Jim Ray, Rita Kama-Kimura, Jason Horstman (kneeling), and Mark White

On Wednesday, January 31, Team Hawaii was on the move again at the state Capitol going into every legislator’s office "planting seeds” for Convention of States.

Left : Jim Ray & Lori Nip visit Senator Awas new staff member.  Center: Chanara & Ginger present the latest handout materials.  Right: Rita & Jason visit Representative Kobayashi’s office.

To gain a better understanding of what these office visits mean to Hawaii’s volunteers, three teams were interviewed making the rounds through the legislative offices.  Click on the image below to watch the video.

The handouts for the team’s second visit included the latest issue of their local newsletter, The COSHI Courier, featuring an interview with Hawaii’s Simulation Commissioner Attorney Jim Hochberg.  Plus, a flyer highlighting The Heritage Foundation’s endorsements from their President Dr Kevin Roberts and Senior Fellow John G. Malcolm.

The newsletter's pages 1& 4 featured an interview with Hawaiis Simulation Commissioner Jim Hochberg, while pages 2 & 3 gives state legislators a comparison of the level of support for COS in their district.

Endorsements from two Heritage Foundation Board Members highlighted to everyone the traction COS is gaining throughout America.

Join the COSHI Team every Wednesday at noon at the Capitol throughout February, for a 1-hour visit to state legislators’ offices.  Click here to volunteer!
