Can grassroots save America? 

The 2022 midterms are just around the corner, and things need to change in Washington, DC. We have career politicians who have become so corrupt, so crooked, so intoxicated on their power they no longer serve their constituents. 

Our founding fathers recognized that We the People are the solution to tyranny! 

As the Declaration of Independence says, "That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effect their Safety and Happiness."

Washington, DC, has indeed become too destructive, but where can we turn to find help? For decades the electorate in our nation has been content with two trains of thought:

  1. The belief of a lesser of two evils. In the 2020, elections we literally saw the Democrats take up the chant "Blue no matter who"!
  2.  Voting within their comfort levels.

We keep sending the same people to Washington no matter how much we complain about their performance because we either know them and they have been there for years, or because the opposition on the other side is too unthinkable. We need to primary everyone currently in DC, but how? Where can we turn? 

I turn your attention to Chad Prather in Texas. Chad is a comedian/political commentator. He is also a candidate for Governor. Chad is running a grassroots campaign. 

After watching his campaign video, it occurred to me that the grassroots could be the solution we are looking for. With so many grassroots organizations making themselves known, there is a whole new pool of potential. What if your next congressmen or senator is someone you currently communicate with regularly in your organization?

Convention of States, #walkaway, Blexit, We the People, and I'm sure a host of others are out there I haven't heard of. These groups are filled with passionate freedom-loving patriots, but what if people in these groups began to seek office, locally or nationally? 

What if the Mark Meckler's, the Candice Owens's, the Dan Bongino's, or the Steve from State Farm's of this country decided to throw their hat in the ring and run for office? Could we actually make real changes?

I have long held the belief that we need to get politicians out of government. We need to start sending farmers, plumbers, business owners, contractors, retired soldiers, and regular everyday people to our capitols. Elect people who are in touch with their states and communities. People who will understand the impact of policy not just on the nation or the world, but in their own neighborhoods. That's where real changes and leadership is needed. Our organizations are full of solutions beyond just being activists.
