More on this sad subject that weighs on us all, as children should never be abused! They are so vulnerable and easily duped into believing adults are acting in their best interests or they are simply helpless pawns when threatened, having no recourse. Many who have crossed the southern border into this great freedom-loving nation were potentially hoping for a better life, but were horribly blindsided - as the cartels and other human smugglers are by their very profession rife with rapists and despicable manipulators without morals. How we have permitted this massive wave of criminal activity to go on for so long and be scarcely mentioned by mainstream media sycophants is a crime in and of itself - as those who aided and abetted these acts should be held accountable - almost as co-equal predators to the traffickers. We wonder: Where were the outbursts of indignation that were leveled instead at far less serious offenses, such as protesting without actual violence or destruction of property?
It occurs to this author:
The extent of the ruin of so many innocent lives is such that we could consider establishing tribunals, as in the military, to expedite proper justice by bringing such gangs of criminals exploiting minors to court in numbers that warrant swift results without hampering justice - otherwise, the length of time to prosecute each party individually will surely enable many wrongdoers to avoid all justified penalties.
The message must be clear, as it was at Nuremburg between 1945 & 1949: Never again!
As Indira Gandi once stated:
“We must protect families, we must protect children, who have inalienable rights and should be loved, should be taken care of physically and mentally, and should not be brought into the world only to suffer.”
